Paulina Rosas is a native El Paso, Texas located in the U.S.A.-Mexico border region. In 2016, she acquired a BFA from the University of Texas at El Paso with concentrations in metalsmithing and graphic design. She still resides in El Paso, where she has her at-home studio. As an entrepreneurial mind, she runs two businesses: Paulina Rosas' Designs which she operates as a jeweler, but also does design, manages social media, and creates e-commerce pages for clients. She also runs Chachara Chics, alongside a partner, exploring materials and design, which is mainly jewelry focused but also deals with textiles, craft projects, education, and household items.

In her jewelry making, she works mainly with polymer clay, brass, silver, resin, plexiglass, and found objects. Conceptually, she focuses on the complexity to voice out of feelings, emotions, and mental illness. Alongside with the taboo, there is in regional culture to talk openly about abuse, emotions, and fears, in regular day-to-day conversations. To do so she uses three main components: high polished metal pieces to convey the luxury to stay quiet, performance to dismantle taboos, and infographics to provide facts about the lack of mental health awareness.
